To Visit Italy is to be Immersed in Beauty.
The country history and culture left its footprint on the back roads of Italy. We capture the essence of Italy and transport you to the old world. There you can see the diverse beauty, taste the succulent food and immerse yourself in the warmth of the Italian culture, creating for you the true “Italian Experience”.
Our Mission is Simple
EXPERIENCE ITALY provides travel experiences for those who demand quality and appreciate value. Our tours are based on what we know about North American standards and levels of “creature comfort” three and four star hotels, private deluxe motor coaches, included entrance fees and sight-seeing tours, top local guides, etc.; our tours are very inclusive. We also don’t feel that we have done our job well unless we provide our guests with an experience that they feel have exposed them to a “true Italian” experience.

Florence Travel Study Program 2011
Benvenuto
Eleventh Annual Design and Architecture in Italy Travel Study Program
The 2011 Travel Study Program will be offered in Florence, Italy from June 12 through June 26, 2011. The Florence Travel Study Program is exceptionally rich, combining a study of renaissance architecture, classical and modern art and design, combined with Italian history and infused with Italian culture, the experience seems more like a two-week learning vacation. The travel study program is open to the public, so practicing professional architects and designers, patrons of the arts, family and friends, as well asmatriculated students are able to take full advantage of the interdisciplinary richness of this program.
For “patrons of the arts”, this trip is a unique opportunity and an especially rewarding experience. For students, this trip may be taken for three units of University credit. Students are encouraged to discuss this option with their Major Advisor. For design professionals, the Florence Travel Study Program may betaken for continuing education credit.
We always bring a small travel group, the average size has been 12 participants. As a travel group we have access to certain venues the individual traveler may never see and because of our small group size it is much easier for us to navigate through the crowded tourist spots. Our travel group experience is much more personalized because faculty are immediately accessible.
Andrew Anker and Jim Kenney are both Professors of Design at Sacramento State and add a unique perspective to the itinerary. Andrew is an architect and has lived and taught in Venice, Italy. Andrew is also the tour group leader. Jim is a retired architect and serves as the Program Director and will lead the groupʼs sketching activities.
Please join us at any of our scheduled presentations or feel free to call or email if you have any questions. Enrollment is limited so apply early. We hope you can join us in Florence and look forward to hearing from you!
